Believe That God Is

Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We live in a time when people have dismissed the truth of God, the truth of the Bible and the truth that God is in control of all things.

Individually speaking, when we fail to understand who God is and dismiss the reality of God and the worship of Him as the all-knowing, all-present, all-powerful Ruler of the universe, then our worship turns to self.

As a nation when we forget or fail to practice the truths of the Word of God, then the government becomes the worshiped god.

Jesus put it like this in Matthew 6:33 - But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Where is Christ in your life? Where is He in our nation? Sadly, the name of Jesus Christ has been ridiculed and prohibited in many areas socially, politically, and unfortunately in many cases spiritually also.

For our nation to return to putting Christ first, each of us must practice that principle in our individual lives. There is a story told of a revival taking place years ago in a small Texas town. A Christian who lived in another town heard about it and set out to find the church. He got to the small town and saw a Police Officer directing traffic and asked, “Can you tell me where the revival is taking place?” The police officer responded by placing his hand over his own heart and said, “Here, in my heart, Revival has taken place!”

That is how a nation comes back to God, when we realize, “It’s me, it’s me, that needs revival!”
